What is a "domain"?- An Internet "domain" is a group of Internet technology resources which together represent an entity or organization which is publicly visible and associated by a common name such as Microsoft.com (pronounced Microsoft dot com). Common services which bear the domain name include email and pages on the world wide web.

What does "Virtual" and "Hosted" mean?- A "virtual" Internet domain is basically just information which is "hosted" by a real domain in such a manner that it appears to have dedicated systems, networks, and connectivity. What is Domain Name Email?- With a domain, an email address, such as username@hawkpci.net, can instead be related to your specific domain. For example, your email address can be something like username@yourdomain.com.  And instead of a web page at http://www.hawkpci.net/userpage, you can have http://www.yourdomain.com.

Ordering Service
Place your order with us today and we can have your account set-up as early as the next business day if payment information is included. Most accounts are activated within a few hours! Once your account is set up an activation notice will be sent to you via email which includes your username, password, and FTP username. You can begin uploading files to your new web site immediately thereafter. You can use your IP address (included in your activation notice) to access your site while waiting for your domain registration or transfer to complete. We will not host web sites that contain adult material. We reserve the right to charge additional fees for extremely high bandwidth sites. We will give reasonable notice to resolve high bandwidth issues.

InterNIC
InterNIC (the governing agency in the US) will charge a registration fee of $70, which covers 2 years for domain accounts. After the 2nd year they will charge you $35 per year.
