What is ISDN?
ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network. It is a digital telephone service that delivers high-speed voice and data connections over existing telephone lines. With an ISDN connection in your home or office, you can connect to the Internet at speeds up to 128k which is 4 times faster than a standard 33k analog modem. A single ISDN connection provides two channels (or phone lines) over a single wire making it the perfect solution for a small office with multiple devices like fax machines, computers and telephones.

Hawk Internet offers one and two channel ISDN connections. Dedicated, as well as dial-up ISDN connections, are available to suit your needs. ISDN offers many advantages over analog lines in quality and speed of the connection. The World Wide Wait is relieved and you open up worlds of streaming media and dynamic content. ISDN also is a cost effective way to host local low bandwidth services.

Our dial up ISDN service is designed to provide economical Internet access to homes and businesses with high bandwidth needs or local area networks (LAN) that have relatively basic usage requirements. For locations with low to medium usage, your users can enjoy the convenience and speed of a dedicated access service at a fraction of the price. Our dial up ISDN service is well-suited for:

Payment Options
Hawk offers multiple payment option plans to suit any need or budget.  We have two payment options for dedicated ISDN Access:  64K bps and 128K bps.  ISDN service is not a qualifying service for the Multi-Service Discount program.

ISDN utilizes a single, dedicated Internet Protocol (IP) address, eliminating the need to purchase a costly class C address and provides an extra level of network security. An ISDN routers allow new users to quickly and easily set up their to connection to the Internet.

Service Reliability
We purposely overbuilt our network, so your traffic always gets through with no speed bumps to slow it down. We track and trend all routers and GSP circuits via network management tools and add additional capacity well before it's needed. Although this may not be the cheapest way for us to do business, it ensures you get what you've paid for by avoiding the latency issues inherent in overdriving a network.
